Fly Mobiles has launched the F 53s with a 5.3-inch qHD display for Rs. 9,999..


Fly's latest entrant, F 53s is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM. It supports dual SIM (GSM+GSM) and runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The Fly F 53s sports an 8.0-megapixel auto-focus rear camera which features 99 burst mode shots while the front camera is of 2.0-megapixels and also supports 3G video calling.

Backing the device is a 1,850mAh battery. Other features include Wi-Fi, GPRS, EDGE, 3G support, proximity & gravity sensors and Bluetooth 3.0. On storage front, the device has 4GB on-board which can be expanded up to 32GB.

According to Rahul Goel, President, Fly Mobiles, ''Fly is innovating to give the consumers the best digital experience. With more and more content consumption moving towards mobile devices, Fly is building offerings which will make this experience more pleasurable and comfortable.''

Fly Mobiles may not have been in the news for some time but the company has been expanding its smartphone portfolio for the Indian market, gradually. The company is not only expanding its mid-range smartphone segment but it has been unveiling budget handsets as well.

A few days back, Fly Mobiles launched a budget smartphone F351. The Fly F351 comes with 3.5-inch HVGA display with a resolution of 320X480 pixels. The smartphone packs in a 1GHz processor along with 256MB of RAM. The internal storage available on the smartphone is 512MB which can be expanded up to 32GB through microSD card.

The handset comes with a 3.0-megapixel rear camera with flash and a VGA front facing camera. The smartphone includes a 1,200mAh battery, which, as per company's claims, delivers up to 10 hours of talk time and 260 hours of standby time. It runs on the dated Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread operating system.

Razer Edge Worlds most powerful Gaming Tablet announced

[Panasonic's 20-inch 4K tablet prototype]




Panasonic showed off the world's first 20-inch 4K tablet at a keynote speech at CES 2013.


Alongwith the Windows 8 operating system the tablet has a 20-inch screen and 4K resolution, and is half-inch thick.



Panasonic said this huge tablet with a screen resolution of 3,840x2,560-pixel resolution and 230 pixels per inch packed into a 20-inch IPS LED-backlit LCD display is intended for designers and business users. It's a multi touch panel, but can also employ a high-resolution digital pen by Anoto. This tablet is aimed at professionals who will be able to use a stylus to manipulate graphics in the cloud.

Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus Announced with Jelly Bean

The Galaxy S2 was a big seller for Samsung and it lives on in 2013 with a brand new variant - the Samsung Galaxy S2 Plus . Just like the Galaxy S Plus last year, the S2 Plus launches with a revamped design, updated OS and new chipset.

The Samsung I9105 Galaxy S2 Plus runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with Nature UX and is powered by a Broadcom chipset witha dual-core Cortex-A9 processor clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM. It packs the same 4.3'' WVGA Super AMOLED Plus screen as the original Galaxy S2.

Other things are the same as well - 8MP main camera with 1080p video recording(but with promised zero shutter lag), 2MP secondary camera, 3G with 21Mbps HSPA+, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0+HS. Built-in storage has been cut down to 8GB, but the microSD card slot remains.

There's optional NFC too - the I9105 S2 Plus without it is 8.5mm thick while the NFC-enabled I9105P is a hair thicker at 8.9mm. The other dimensions are 125.3 x 66.1 regardless of model, that's the same as the original. At 121g it's a bit heavier though (the classic Galaxy S2 is 116g). The battery has been bumped up 100mAh to 1750mAh.

There's no launch date or pricing info onthe Samsung I9105 Galaxy S2 Plus yet.
